On 24th September 2026, my friend and her family sadly lost their mum, Diane, who passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Diane was a loving mum in her 50's, who dedicated her life to caring for her ten children, raising them by herself and always putting her family first. Her sudden passing has left a huge hole in the lives of her children, who are now having to face the unimaginable grief of losing their mum while also trying to work out what comes next.
Diane’s eldest daughter, Kaylee, is now in the process of applying through the courts to obtain custody of her two youngest siblings, who are just 14 and 16 years old. Alongside the emotional impact of losing her mum, Kaylee is now facing the responsibility of helping to care for and support her younger siblings.
The court process and the changes that come with taking on this responsibility bring additional financial pressures at an already incredibly difficult time.
I have therefore set up this fundraiser to help them with the costs associated with the custody process, as well as to provide some additional financial support for Kaylee and her siblings as they adjust to life without their mum.
Any money raised will help ease some of the financial pressure, allowing Kaylee to focus on supporting her younger siblings and helping them through this heartbreaking time, rather than having to worry about how they will manage financially.
We know that times are difficult for everyone, so any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would also be incredibly appreciated.
Diane was a devoted mum to ten children, and we hope that by coming together, we can help her children feel supported and give Kaylee a little more stability as she steps into a role she never expected to have to take on.
Thank you for taking the time to read Diane’s story, and for any support you are able to give. ❤️
