Hi Everyone. 6 years ago our world came crashing down when we lost our beautiful amazing boy Daragh. Daragh was the heart of our home & not one day goes by that we don’t grieve & miss him. Daragh had autism. But it did not define him. He was a little character who adored Peppa Pig. He adored his family & his community. We will never ever forget the love & help we received from The Maria Goretti respite centre. This centre does so much for children with special needs. Daragh called it his Funhouse!
So for the month of January, Paul & I are walking 150kms. Nathan, Daragh’s big brother & Daragh’s grandparents will walk 100kms in the January and Naoise & Layla, Daragh’s two little sisters will walk 50kms.This is a very hard month for us as we ring in the new year without our beautiful boy. So hopefully all this walking will also help us get out of the house even in the rain & walk in memory of our boy.
I ask you earnestly to please donate what you can. No amount is too little. So many children now have autism & need our help. We are so blessed to have the Maria Goretti Respite Centre in our home town.
