Raising Money for Sri Lankan Families in Need

In September 2025, five of us will join a wider team of 40 riders, aiming to raise $250,000 to help Sri Lankan communities in need.

The "Pimp My Tuk Tuk" team will embark on a 1200km TukTuk journey across Sri Lanka, on behalf of The Foundation of Goodness charity - www.unconditionalcompassion.org Over 7 days, we'll travel through cities, villages, and challenging terrain, engaging with local projects such as water purification, bicycle deliveries to schoolchildren, and the distribution of essential school supplies.

This initiative supports ongoing efforts to improve access to vital resources and opportunities for underprivileged communities in Sri Lanka, and your support will help make a meaningful difference to countless lives.

Our journey is also undertaken in memory of our two dear friends whom we lost suddenly and unexpectedly last year. Their lives have inspired us to create positive change. By supporting this cause, you are helping to honour their legacy and extend their impact to communities in need.

They'll be driving TukTuks over 1,200 kilometres across Sri Lanka! Over seven days, they'll navigate bustling cities, rural villages, and some pretty harsh landscapes! They'll visit and engage with the communities and projects that PMTT supports, such as water purification plants, delivering bicycles to schoolchildren, distributing school packs, and meeting with local partners and beneficiaries.

This challenge is being undertaken to honour the memory of two special friends, Chris Tissainayagam and Julian Mason, whom they'd known since the age of 14, from school days at Denstone College. Early last year, in the space of just ten weeks, they lost Chris suddenly to sepsis and then Julian to stomach cancer.

Sri Lanka holds a very special place in Chris’s family’s heart. His parents, Jega and Premini lived and worked in Colombo as doctors, also founding the Navajeevana clinic to help underprivileged Sri Lankans access vital healthcare. So, raising money to support those most in need, in memory of Chris and Julian, is their way of honouring their lives and creating a legacy that will mean so much to their families and friends.
