In Loving Memory of Carl Nelson

Those of you who knew Carl, know he put his heart and soul into everything he did. Longlands Common, Harrogate’s first community wood, was a project Carl was excited to be involved with. It is a project which represents Carl’s beliefs and values; a legacy for future generations, the preservation of the environment and the opportunities it will provide for all members of the community. Most of all Carl was excited about the opportunities and experiences this could provide for the young people at Veloheads. Carl’s drive and commitment to young people, who need additional support to succeed, was truly inspirational.  We are so proud of him.

In Carl’s memory we would like to support Longland’s Common, your help with this would be much appreciated. Lily and I will continue with Veloheads, Carl’s legacy, and as such Veloheads will, as Carl wished, be actively involved in this wonderful community resource. As a family it will also be a place where we can remember a truly wonderful husband, an amazing Dad, but most of all our best friend, who loved nothing as much as his family, as we will always love him. We will miss him forever, but feel truly blessed to have had him in our lives and to have been loved so deeply.
