On November 28th, 2025, the world lost an incredible soul, a real-life superhero who everyone knew and loved "Boots." His passing was sudden and heartbreaking, and his friends and family are still struggling to cope with a world without his light. Boots was the type of person who gave all of himself to others, be it his brothers in blue, his military family, or the family at home he loved more than anything in this world.
Boots lifted up his friends daily (most times literally- Boots could make any place his gym), encouraged everyone around him to grow, to advocate for themselves, and to believe in their own worth. His love for his family was unmatched- although, his love for Captain America and the Marvel Universe came very close. The world was brighter with Boots in it, and those who were lucky enough to know him will cherish every memory he left them with.
In his passing Boots leaves behind four wonderful children, Kallen ('KalKal"), Rilynn ("Ri"), Kopelin ("koko"), and Payton. He also leaves behind his loving wife, Kathryn. If you knew Boots, you knew his family was his reason for taking on each day and conquering it with the fierceness of the superheroes he loved so much. With Boots gone, Kat and his children are left trying to find a new "normal" while dealing with their unimaginable grief. With this GoFundMe we are coming together as a community to honor Boots by taking care of the family he loved so much.
If you feel inspired to do so, Kat and the kids would greatly appreciate and benefit from your donations. No matter how small the gift is, it would be a blessing to them. All funds will be used for the immediate support and security of Boots' children, with any additional funds to be invested in a savings account for the kid's future. If you are able to, please consider donating as we take the Watch of Boots' family in his absence.
Boots was a heck of a friend, officer, soldier, gym rat, Marvel enthusiast, and most importantly, father. We will miss him always.
