Hello, my name is Bellamia Soto, I am Armando’s eldest daughter. My father Armando Rodriguez recently passed away the morning of December 13th, 2023 from a heart attack, me and my sister were by his side when he left this earth. My dad was a hardworking, single, and loving dad. He was there for all of our special moments and shaped us to who we are. Armando had congenital heart disease his whole life, he had ups and downs with his health but he was strong. He was admitted to the hospital due to cough he had that wouldn’t go away but the cough caused stress on his heart causing the heart attack. The hospital and we did as much as we can to save him him but his disease did not allow us. My dad left me his 20 year old daughter, and my sister his 14 year old daughter Belinda Rodriguez. This is our second time of healing from a situation like this, our mother Alma Rodriguez passed away 4 years ago from cystic fibrosis. After, her passing my dad was just raising us by himself with some help from family including our grandparents, moms family, and family friends. My father barely made it by financially to support us, I had to work as soon as I could to help my family financially while I was still in high school. Me and my younger sister are living with family and they only could do so much due to my grandparents retirement and our other family members also supporting their own family. I am a college student only working part time to help pay bills, school, and necessities. I am seeking funding to help support my younger sister and me since I cannot financially do it at the moment.
