In Memory of Alden Habacon
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of our dear friend Alden Habacon. My name is Reena Parhar and our family has become close to the Habacon family through our T-Birds Hockey Association. There has been an outpouring of support and sympathy from friends and family, a testament to how many people Alden touched and left a meaningful and lasting impact. This Go Fund Me is to support and to honour Alden’s memory and his love and passion for his three boys and their love for the game but also to support them with any future needs. We want them to be the best they can be in everything they do to make the world a better place which Alden always strived to do.
A committed family man and father, Alden was heavily involved in community sports and a valued volunteer with the Vancouver T-Birds. He was a pillar to this hockey community. His dedication to his sons’ development created lasting bonds with families and players alike. He was known for his unwavering encouragement and cheerfulness, always willing to lend a hand or offer guidance which existed in every part of his life.
There are no words to express the sadness and pain of the profound loss. He was a bright light in the arts and cultural communities, a tireless champion for the underprivileged and underrepresented, and a beloved mentor and friend to many. Most importantly, he was the most amazing dad of three remarkable young boys, Aiden, Rei, and Rylen, and the most incredible husband to the love of his life, Rose. They were his pride and joy, his best accomplishment in life, his whole world where his love for them was pure and endless. He always made sure he was a role model of compassion, kindness, and empathy so that his boys can live their life passionately with these same qualities.
His passing leaves a profound void, not only in the lives of his family but also in the hearts of everyone who was touched by his generosity, spirit and passion. He would be honoured to see his three boys continue to be happy and to embrace the love for life with the same wonderment, thoughtfulness, and gratitude he had.
