We’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of Tony and their two boys, Noah and Sebastian, as they face the unimaginable loss of a wife and mother.

Stephannie Sylvia Irene MacDonald (née Johnson) of Parry Sound, was 46 years old. A loving wife to her "lover" husband Tony MacDonald for 18 years and devoted mom to Noah and Sebastian, Stephannie touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and creativity.

A proud graduate of Canadore College’s Journalism program, Stephannie spent 18 years as a dedicated reporter at the Parry Sound North Star, earning multiple provincial and national awards. In 2022, she pursued her passion and launched Georgian Bay Sweets, a home-based baking business that quickly became beloved in the community. She made so many first birthdays and firstborn celebrations extra special with her incredible hand-painted cookies, cakes and cupcakes crafted with love and passion.

Stephannie was known for her generosity, her love for her family, and her unwavering support of local causes but above all, she loved her family fiercely. Her husband Tony and their two sons were her whole world.

She will be deeply missed by her parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and the entire Parry Sound community.

For anyone who knows this family, you know that this is a heartbreaking experience. We created this GoFundMe to ease the burden on Tony so that he can focus on grieving, being present for his boys, and navigating this new life.

Funds raised will primarily go toward helping to secure Noah and Sebastian’s future education and help honour Stephannie’s dream of seeing her boys thrive.
