My name is Zinita Parker, and my dear friend Debbie Winger is living every mother’s worst nightmare. It is with unbearable heartbreak that we share that Stephanie Winger lost her courageous battle with cancer on January 26th. Debbie is devastated by the loss of her precious daughter - a woman who fought with extraordinary strength, grace, and determination until her very last day.

Stephanie leaves behind the love of her life, Michael, and their beautiful 16‑month‑old daughter, Gigi, who was the light that carried her through even the darkest moments of her illness.

Stephanie’s journey began when she was diagnosed with HER2‑positive breast cancer while three months pregnant. With unimaginable bravery, she underwent chemotherapy during her pregnancy to protect both herself and her unborn child. What followed was a long and grueling fight: a mastectomy, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and the devastating news that her cancer had metastasized, first to her lungs, and most recently to her liver.

Her final days came far more quickly than any of us expected. The cancer was ravaging her body at an alarming pace, and the aggressive treatments that once gave hope ultimately destroyed her lungs. Even in those final moments, she fought with everything she had.

This loss is profound. It is life‑altering. And it leaves Michael and baby Gigi not only grieving, but also navigating overwhelming financial strain at a time when they should be held, supported, and surrounded by love.
