Please find it in your hearts to bless us, giving our sweet Sarah the best she deserved.

Sarah was and will always be twenty-two — the kind of young woman who made every room brighter just by walking in. She had this laugh that couldn’t help but pull others into it. Our family adored her; we all watched her grow from a shy little girl into a confident young woman.

She passed shortly after doing what she loved, being with the kids at the school she worked at. No one ever doubted she would change lives — she already had. Sarah made an impact with everyone she came in contact with.

Unfortunately, all of that ended on Thursday evening, 10/16/2025, just 14 days after turning 22.

As Sarah was crossing the street from her school, where she was an after-school program employee, an SUV came out of nowhere — a speeding driver who ignored the speed limit placed in a school zone. The impact was devastating. In a moment, all the laughter, plans, and dreams of our 22-year-old Sarah vanished because someone thought getting there faster mattered more than getting there safely.
