In Loving Memory of Pedro Mendez

Donation protected
Pedro started with Andiamo Restaurant Group 6 years ago. He hired in at the Dearborn location, starting off as a dishwasher. However, he quickly moved up to being our main prep-cook as well as one of the main cooks running The Andiamo Food Truck for events such as the Grand Prix and Techno Fest. He also was one of the main prep-cooks for the Andiamo Airport Commissary as well as The 2941 Commissary. He then relocated to Andiamo Riverfront when Commissary shifted locations. During his time at Riverfront, he remained one of the main prep-cooks for 2941/Meatball Commissary as well as cooking for the Andiamo Riverfront pizza stand. On October 1st he contracted covid-19 and was hospitalized. The virus rapidly overtook his health and sadly on November 15th at 8:06pm he passed away. He will be missed as a friend to many and as an excellent employee of the JVRG. He leaves behind his wife (Gloria Mendez) and daughter (Dairin Coria Mendez) living still in Mexico.

We here at the JVRG are trying to raise money to pay for the cremation so his ashes can be sent to his family back in Mexico as well as provide for his wife and daughter. This is a tragic event and we want to show how committed we are to helping each other and trying to help ease the burden for his wife and young daughter. With over 1000 employees we can make a huge difference in their lives.

Thank you for sharing and making a difference in Pedro's memory.
