In Loving Memory of our beloved Irewamiri Shote

It is with unimaginable grief that we announce the tragic passing of Irewamiri Shote, a vibrant 17-year-old whose life was cut short far too soon. On June 1st, 2025, Irewamiri tragically passed away in Lady Bird Lake, Austin, during a family paddle-boarding outing. After days of searching, his body was recovered on June 3rd by rescue teams.

Irewamiri had just finished his 11th-grade year and was looking forward to starting 12th grade this fall. He was a bright and promising young soul, full of life and dreams. He played football, basketball, and track. He was a loving big brother to his little sister, and their bond was something truly special. He especially cherished time spent with his family.

This sudden loss has left a profound void in all our hearts. As we try to navigate this unimaginable pain, we seek for your help to support with funeral and memorial expenses, and to ease the financial burden that comes with such a tragedy.
