<div>It is with unimaginable grief that we announce the tragic passing of Irewamiri Shote, a vibrant 17-year-old whose life was cut short far too soon. On June 1st, 2025, Irewamiri tragically passed away in Lady Bird Lake, Austin, during a family paddle-boarding outing. After days of searching, his body was recovered on June 3rd by rescue teams.

<div>Irewamiri had just finished his 11th-grade year and was looking forward to starting 12th grade this fall. He was a bright and promising young soul, full of life and dreams. He played football, basketball, and track. He was a loving big brother to his little sister, and their bond was something truly special. He especially cherished time spent with his family.
