In Loving Memory of Anita Lam Wright.
We are heartbroken to share that Anita left us far too soon. She was a kind, caring, and loving person who touched the lives of everyone she met. Anita had an incredible ability to listen, connect, and make people feel truly seen. Her warmth, humor and compassion will be deeply missed by all.
Her sister and brother-in-law have now lovingly stepped in to care for Anita's 15 year old son and guide him through the years ahead. This fundraiser is to help support them as they take on this unexpected and immense responsibility. Any donation, big or small, will go directly to helping her son and honoring her memory.
Anita's world revolved around her beloved son, who was her shining star. She was also a devoted sister, daughter, aunt, and friend who loved her family deeply. A trailblazer, Anita was the first woman to earn a black belt at Renzo Gracie Rockland, where her jiu-jitsu family adored her. She loved ski trips with her son and snowboarding in CO, UT and VT. She also had a lifelong love of music and dancing.
After spending her early years in Colorado, Anita returned to New York City in 2000 to be closer to her family. She worked at Columbia University's Climate School where where she was deeply dedicated to her work and community.
Anita's light, laughter and strength will always be remembered by those who were lucky enough to know her.
With love and peace thank you for your donation.
