In Loving Memory of Mike Carlucci
Donation protected
This page was established due to the overwhelming requests from friends, colleagues, former students, neighbors and various communities wishing to contribute to the Carlucci Family since hearing of Mike's tragic and untimely passing. Funding from this account will assist his family in covering immediate expenses and allow them to create one or more scholarships in his name.
On Saturday, 9/10/22, while on his favorite beach in Loveladies, LBI- Mike was caught in a rip current. Noticing her husband's struggle, his beloved wife Jeanene made a desperate 911 call for help. Mike was able to tell another parent to get their child out of the water and that he himself needed help. Unfortunately, Mike went under the water moments later, and a search and rescue attempt began. Mike's body was observed and recovered approximately an hour later by his son Michael and his two brothers-in-law. Attempts to resuscitate him proved futile, as Mike had succumbed to a lack of oxygen.
Mike was a man of strong faith, and we ask that you keep his family in your prayers.
The family is grateful for all who have reached out and shown them compassion in their time of sorrow. They ask that you live your life with kindness and love for one another, just as their Mike/Dad, (Mikey, Shuffles, Carluch, Lucci, Looch, Mr. Carlucci,) did.
