Hi all,
On the 7th of June 2026, our world changed forever when we lost someone so deeply loved and so incredibly special to our hearts — our beautiful boy Matthew.
If you knew Matthew, you knew his love for dirt bikes. Riding wasn’t just something he enjoyed — it was part of who he was. He was beyond excited to return to his home and take part in his second Finke Desert Race alongside his brother Scott, doing something that brought him so much happiness.
Matthew had the kindest heart — the sort of person you could always rely on no matter what. He had a larger-than-life personality that lit up every room he walked into. His cheekiness, his huge smile, and the energy he carried, his presence would be impossible to be missed. He brought laughter, comfort and life wherever he went.
More than anything, Matthew loved his family fiercely. He was a loving son/grandson, A proud uncle to his niece, a ‘big’ ‘little’ brother to Scott, a nephew, a cousin, boyfriend, & a mate who meant so much to all of us.
Matthew touched more lives than he probably ever realised. He was truly one of a kind — unforgettable in every sense of the word. Even through some of his own darkest days, he always found a way to brighten someone else’s. He looked out for people, supported people, and loved people deeply. He carried so much care for those around him, and that is something that will stay with all of us forever.
The loss of Matthew has left a massive hole in our hearts that can never be filled. He will always be missed more than words could ever express, and we would love to give him the beautiful send-off he deserves — one that reflects the incredible person he was and the love he gave so freely.
Keep flying high, Matthew. We’ll carry you with us every day until we meet again.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
