In Loving Memory of Kris Beatty

On the morning of July 11, 2025, my beloved father, Kris Beatty, passed away at the age of 72.

In December of 2024, he underwent knee replacement surgery, after which he developed an infection that did not heal despite multiple rounds of antibiotics. In May, he began a new round of antibiotics, but unfortunately, he had a reaction to the medication. On June 8th, our mom, Jackie, took him to the emergency room when he began having difficulty breathing.

He was admitted to the hospital, where scans revealed pneumonia and blood clots in his lungs. The hospital staff worked tirelessly to stabilize his breathing and oxygen levels. After two weeks with little improvement, further testing revealed he was also battling advanced Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

For the next several weeks, my dad fought with everything he had. There were days when he was able to talk, eat, and be in good spirits, and we truly believed he would pull through. We held on to the hope that we would have more time with him. After four and a half weeks in the hospital, he tragically passed away.

This GoFundMe has been created for friends and family who wish to honor my father’s memory by donating to help support my mom during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly to her to help cover any expenses she may face so that finances can be one less burden as she grieves the loss of the love of her life and learns how to move forward without him.

Anyone who knew my dad knew he had the biggest heart. He loved everyone he came into contact with and tried to make as many people smile and laugh as possible. He was simply someone who spread joy wherever he went.

There is a huge hole in our lives without him here. My brother, Davis, and I are doing everything we can to support our mom and each other as we navigate this loss as a family. We would be so grateful for any support, whether through a donation, a message, or simply sharing this fundraiser with others who knew and loved him.
