In Loving Memory of James Tahir

Donation protected
On February 16th, James Tahir was taken from this world in a tragic snowmobile accident just 2 months before his 36th birthday.  There are no words to describe how horrible this loss is to James’ wife Sara and their two beautiful children, Sawyer (2 years) and Madelyn (7 months), not to mention the rest of his friends and family.  James and Sara have been together since they were 17 years old. This year they would have celebrated 18 years together.

Any of us that knew James were so grateful to have him in our lives.  I have never known another person to have such a positive effect on everyone that he met. Whether you were his friend for 30 years, a family member, or someone that he just met, you would remember him. His fun, energetic spirit could lift you up no matter what mood you were in.  He had a zest for life, was quick-witted, and could dream BIG! He was so talented and had so many plans for himself and his family. He had recently started his own business with his friend and business partner Luke and would work through the day and sometimes night trying to make sure that they were successful.  But James didn’t stop at just being a Dad and entrepreneur.  Just days before he passed, he had just hosted a charity event to help the homeless.  He also had just lost his mom Peggy on February 4th, 2019, to a battle with ALS.  Since his mother was diagnosed, he has been committed to raising awareness to help cure this horrible disease. This is the type of person James was. Always thinking of others and honestly just wanting to make this world a better place.

There is nothing that can make the loss of James any easier.  He was a special person who could find the good in anybody.  There has been a tremendous amount of people who have reached out asking how they can help during this terrible time.  With Sara still on maternity leave, our goal is to try and alleviate some of the financial burden she is now in, so that she can focus solely on being the best mom to Sawyer and Madelyn.  Unfortunately, with them being a younger couple, the thought of life and mortgage insurance just wasn’t in their heads yet.  We know that James' wish would be for his family to have the least amount of disruption and to be able to stay in their family home that they had all created together.

Sara is so grateful for the outpouring of support she has received.  She has vowed to remind Sawyer and Madelyn what a wonderful person, father and husband James was.

We will never forget you James and the mark you have left on this world.  We will miss you every single day.

Any contribution will be very much appreciated.
