Sunday, June 1st, our community was shaken by the tragic loss of Iris Amélie Backues, who passed away in a heartbreaking pool accident. Iris was a bright and joyful presence, and her absence is deeply felt by everyone who knew her. The Backues family is now facing the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to their beloved daughter, and the weight of funeral and memorial expenses during this difficult time.

We are coming together to support the Backues family as they grieve and navigate the challenges ahead. All funds raised will go directly toward covering the costs of Iris’s funeral and memorial services helping to ease the financial burden so the family can focus on healing. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and show the Backues family that they are not alone in their sorrow.

Again, all donations will go towards funeral expenses, medical bills, and other costs related to Iris' passing. If, for any reason, those needs are fully met, the Backues family has shared that they plan to donate the remaining funds to a meaningful charity in Iris’ memory. Once the Campaign is closed, all funds will be transferred directly to Jake Backues.
