It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Feuy Choy Saephan, who peacefully left us on September 12, 2024, at 10:59 PM, surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home. She was 86 years old and bravely fought stage 4 liver cancer.
Feuy was born on March 16, 1938, in Laos, where she spent her early years. A courageous and resilient woman, she single-handedly raised her five children and made the difficult journey from a refugee camp during the Vietnam War to bring her family to America, where she built a life filled with love, strength, and kindness.
Throughout her life, Feuy was a pillar of her family and her community. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 54 years, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She raised 20+ grandchildren with the same care and love she gave her own children, and to all of us, she was a second mother. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she cared deeply for everyone she met.
Feuy’s passions included gardening, where her backyard was always full of vibrant crops, and cooking—her kitchen table was constantly filled with delicious meals lovingly prepared for her family. She was known for her thoughtfulness, frequently calling her family and friends throughout the day to check on them. Her voice and her presence will be deeply missed.
She leaves behind her loving husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry on her legacy of love, strength, and resilience. Feuy was a beacon of joy, always full of life, and will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Our family wishes to give her the beautiful funeral she deserves, but we are currently unable to fully fund the service. We would be deeply grateful for any contributions during this difficult time. The Saephan family thanks everyone for their love and support.
