In loving memory of Erica, funeral & support cost

Hello please help me in raising funds to support my family during this difficult time with the loss of my aunt from a drunk driver hit and run. This money will be designated towards bills,any extra funeral cost, school for her children she leaves behind, therapy and other supports needed with the devastating circumstances.

The victim in this morning’s fatal hit and run in Ash Fork has been identified as 47-year-old Erica Miller. Ms. Miller’s family has been notified and support services have been offered to family members.

WOMAN STRUCK AND KILLED BY UNDERAGE DUI DRIVER

This morning, just before 3 am, YCSO responded to a report of a woman being hit by a car on Park Ave between 4th St and Third St outside the Oasis Lounge in Ash Fork. The woman appeared to have significant injuries and trouble breathing. Deputies on scene began CPR and applied tourniquets, but the victim succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

As deputies were attending to the victim, YCSO received a call from a mother advising that her 16-year-old daughter had just been in a collision, and one of the Deputies on scene immediately responded to their residence in Ash Fork. The Deputy located a vehicle with significant damage and contacted the daughter and her passenger. The deputies confirmed the involvement of the vehicle and the 16-year-old daughter in the collision.

Impairment may be a factor and is being investigated.

The juvenile driver was arrested for Negligent Homicide, Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault, Endangerment, Excessive Speed, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident, Accident Resulting in Death, and underage DUI— additional DUI charges are pending blood results.
