In loving memory of Billy Joel Torres - loving father, devoted family man, and cherished friend.

Billy Joel Torres, a veteran who served 2006-2011, passed away on November 22nd, 2025 after a motorcycle accident. Billy leaves behind his fiance, Lauren; child, Cayden; siblings, Perla, Sarah, and Juan; and countless friends. He cherished my sister and their son deeply. He was laughter and joy wrapped in Puerto Rican flair. Billy knew how to make anyone smile. He used that skill to brighten the lives of others through his work with children in the foster care system. The world is a darker place without him in it.

With a heavy heart, we, Billy’s family, friends and the motorcycle community, are asking for assistance during this difficult time. My sister was granted 12 weeks of time off work to grieve this incredible loss; however, she lost half the household income and anticipates running out of donated PTO before the end of the 12 weeks. Additionally, we are trying to work out childcare for when she returns to work.
