In Loving Memory of Amanda Sharpe

Amanda was a devoted mum, loving fiancé, cherished daughter, dearest sister, amazing aunty, and caring friend to so many. At just 41, Amanda’s life was heartbreakingly cut short—leaving behind her beloved fiancé Shane and her 15-year-old daughter, Lila.

Shane and Lila had no warning of the shock that was about to impact their lives forever, with a medical appointment 3 weeks ago after minor symptoms came to the forefront in Amanda. Alerted to rush to the emergency for further tests, where confronting and unfathomable evidence would reveal to them in hospital that aggressive metastasized cancers were in her body.

Tears, disbelief and questions of why and how started in their minds. The incredibly tight bond between Amanda, Shane and Lila made them immediately rally to challenge the deadly disease, however in the early hours of Saturday morning after giving it her all to fight the aggressive cancer in just three short weeks after diagnosis, tragically lost her brave fight to stay earthbound at her home surrounded by loved ones, leaving a deep aching void in the lives of everyone who loved and knew her.

Amanda, full of love, strength, and positivity, showed an unwavering courage to move forward towards recovery, and her incredible and beautiful spirit continues to live on in those she loved most.

This fundraiser has been created to help support Shane and Lila as they face the overwhelming emotional and financial challenges ahead. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference as they begin to rebuild their lives.
