In Loving Memory of Sienna Starr

No parent ever plans for or can prepare for the loss of their child. We plan for our own funeral expenses, but most of the time we don’t even consider having to do this for our children.
At approximately 9 pm on the 1st of July, we lost the most beautiful, smart, loving, caring, funny, passionate, amazing human beings on earth. Sienna was and is one of the greatest people I have ever met. She was so kind to everyone. She would compliment complete strangers. Her parents were raising her to love everyone, even if they were tough to love. She was taught to be kind to everyone and accept people for who they were, and she did just that. Sienna was the perfect example of what a dream child is. She was a straight A student, so very talented, so creative, so selfless, so generous. There were so many times that she would spend her only money on her sister or brother because she wanted them to have a piece of candy or a bag of chips. She never stopped thinking of others. Sienna loved everyone and wanted to be loved back by them.
“Not only has Sienna’s passing changed our life, it has changed every single person in the world. I truly believe that Sienna was capable of touching every person’s life in the world. Her smile alone was enough to make your day better. It doesn’t seem like it’s already going on three full days since Sienna left our arms. We continue to cry and ask why this happened and we don’t think that we will truly ever know. There are so many unanswered questions and we have to live with that. I want to use her passing as an opportunity to educate other children and even adults. No matter how much you might dislike someone, they deserve to live. Our daughter deserved to live. To everyone, please, give someone a hug and tell them how special they are. Tell them they make a difference in this world. If I could go back, I’d annoy Sienna every single day with words of encouragement and love. Don’t go a day without telling someone you love them please. I can’t hold my sweet baby again but it’s not too late for you all hold someone close to you. If you feel like you don’t have anyone to hold, I’ll be there for you if I can...you are special, you are loved, you will ALWAYS mean something to us and you will always mean something to our Sienna. Much love to everyone.”- Chad Starr, father
