It is with the heaviest heart that I am writing this on behalf of Alexandria and Nikolas Ellis, as well as our family as a whole.

 

Roger Ellis passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 16th. We lost an amazing person- with a heart of gold; a son, a father, a brother, an uncle, an amazing friend, a coach an official, and so much more.

 

If you knew Roger, you knew that his #1 priority was his kids. They always came first in every aspect of his life, under God. It was rare to see Roger without Lexi and Niko being right by his side. Niko has been training alongside him and also learning to be the best official around, and we hope he is able to continue his journey in honor of his father. Lexi was also right there being “team mom” for all officials and teams helping with all organizing aspects.

 

Not only did Lexi and Niko lose their father, they also lost their best friend and companion. Many people have offered to help, and as a family we all agreed in lieu of flowers, please give to Lexi and Niko. They now have their whole lives ahead of them, and will have to learn to navigate without their father. Whether this can help with school, daily living, sports, etc they can get a jump start on savings!
