Hello all, I’m sure most of you know me but my name is Johncel Marc Vibas. The youngest son of the best father in the world. Someone who upon meeting him once; meant you were friends with him for the rest of your life, someone who you could rely on for anything, someone that no matter the circumstance or situation would make you smile and laugh no matter what.
Someone who’s affected so many people’s lives because of his stupid jokes, because of his sense of humor and personality, someone one so many people come to when they need help or someone to talk too. There’s so many people still wishing he was with us.
My father was a man of many things, he was the strongest person I know, the funniest, the handiest, but he was also the most caring person. He never showed it but he had his ways of knowing if something was wrong, and he’d always find ways to cheer you up when you were down. Whether it’s getting stuff from temu thinking you’d like it, or drawing a sketch of you or something you like or usually just making you laugh and smile. He was someone who could light up a whole room and make people laugh.
Unfortunately, my father passed away on July 15th, 2025 at approximately 5:00pm. During work he experienced severe chest pains to which he was then transported to Sunrise Medical Center for an emergency bypass operation to implant a pace maker due to it being initally observed as a cardiac arrest.
During the operation it was discovered that there was a tear in the inner layer of the large blood vessel that branches off his heart. He was then taken into the operating room at 9:06am in which the surgeons did everything they could to save him. Unfortunately during the operation he suffered from a rare condition called stone heart in which the heart becomes extremely rigid and hard, although the surgeons were able to patch up several of the arteries and vessels that were damaged, due to the stone heart he was unable to make it.
This gofundme is being made for his funeral service, so many of you reached out to me asking if we need any money for the services. And initially I was hesitant, just like my dad he would always give and give but never ask for anything in return, your smile and laughter was the only thing he desired. But I now understand just how much he has impacted so many peoples lives, which is why I started this fundraiser, because it wasn’t just my family who lost someone. It’s all of you who’ve lost a father figure, a mentor, a brother, a friend and you want to do whatever you can to help but please only donate what you feel comfortable with. Because at the end of the day I’d rather you make time and attend his service more than anything else.
I thank you all for the kind words, condolences and prayers you’ve given to me and my family as we go through this time of grief, it makes me proud to be his son knowing how many people he had affected and made laugh just as he did with us. Even though he is gone he will always be with us through the memories we all share, through the laughter and smiles he brought to us. I’m sure if he was still here he’d be cracking jokes, making us laugh no matter the situation like he always does. So as much as it hurts, as much as the void of his loss makes in all of our hearts we need to keep moving forward always keeping him in our hearts. I’m going to continue to keep my head up and make people smile and be the proud son of an amazing man.
I will continue to update this once we have more information regarding his services. Please feel free to come at your convenience with smiles and memories of my father. Because as much it pains me to say that’s the best way he can keep on living, it’s through all of us.
Thank you all again.
Sincerely,
A son missing his father.
