Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and pickleball player Cathie Martin passed away in her home in Oregon on August 8th, 2025. She loved the sport and all the people who played with her, especially those who made her feel so welcome in the Oregon area.

In lieu of flowers, Cathie and her family would love to see the sport of pickleball made more welcoming with a donation in her memory to improve the pickleball courts in Oregon. With the funds, a bench or benches will be permanently installed with a plaque remembering Cathie and giving players a place to engage in one of her favorite parts about pickleball, sitting and talking with good friends. While a menace on the court, she was a friend to all off of it. Thank you for honoring her memory.
