Rob and I have been searching for a way to honor our daughter Anna Bodendorf Schmeltz. Many of you probably remember Anna's love for children. She spent much of her time as an older child and young adult caring for children in the Orange community. As an adult, Anna was an elementary school teacher and loving mother to her daughter. Recently we became aware of local efforts to revitalize the Hazel Sedwick Community Park in the town of Orange, VA. We often visit this park with Anna's daughter and decided to join the efforts of the playground director to add a toddler play area. We felt this is something that would have meaning for all of us that loved and cared about Anna. In addition, we will place a bench with Anna's name inscribed in the toddler area. We hope that Anna's community near and far might help us achieve our vision in her memory. Thank you for your support and love for Anna and our community.
