Hi everyone, I’m Danny, and I’m reaching out for your support alongside my daughter, Imogen also know as Chef Imogen to bring joy to some of the most isolated members of our community this Christmas.
We are aiming to raise £750 to buy Christmas gifts for elderly residents in local care homes.
For many of these seniors, visitors are few and far between and lots had no visitors.
Last year, Chef Imogen delivered 725 presents! The last at 3pm on Christmas eve. With your help, we aim to reach even more residents this year.
The gifts are simple but meaningful: small tins of biscuits, truffles, and chocolates that bring a moment of delight.
The rising cost of items makes buying them harder each year but we do really want to reach as many elderly folk as possible.
Imogen's Heartfelt Tradition
Imogen, who has Global Development Delay, is the inspiration behind this drive. Since she was a toddler, she has been taking gifts to care homes, a tradition that began during her time attending an intergenerational group at an elderly accommodation.
The visits to deliver the gifts are truly special and often very emotional. It’s a powerful experience to see the impact a simple present can have on someone who might otherwise receive nothing.
Our work was even featured in the 2022 BBC Radio 4 documentary, "Imogen the Christmas Chef," highlighting her dedication to social good.
How You Can Help Us Reach Our Goal
We are going to try do a few fundraising ideas but any donation you can make here will help us reach our £750 goal sooner and help us purchase the gifts before the Christmas rush.
Every donation counts!
A donation of any size helps us on our way to hitting our target and enabling chef Imogen to deliver as many gifts as possible. We understand times are hard and everyone is feeling the pinch but any donations would be greatly appreciated
Thank you so much for helping us spread the Christmas cheer!
Chef Imogen (and Dad)
