Imelda needs her daughter by her side during dialysis
Donation protected
I’m raising funds for someone who has meant so much to me and my family.
Imelda worked with us in London for over 10 years, she helped me care for my children when they were small and looked after our home with strong dedication. She supported her own family and two children in the Philippines during that time, while being a steady, loving presence in ours.
Imelda now has chronic kidney disease and her health has been steadily declining. She’s no longer able to work as she used to, and from the 28th of July she’ll begin regular dialysis treatment. It’s a demanding process, physically and emotionally, and she’ll need daily support.
Her daughter, Shaly, is hoping to come from the Philippines to be with her during this time. Shaly has a background in childcare, and is ready to stay in London for six months to help care for her mum. But the cost of the visa, flights, and basic living expenses is more than the family can manage alone.
We’re trying to raise £1,500 for the visa and travel, plus an additional £500 to help cover living costs while Shaly is here. She won’t be able to work during that time, as her focus will be on her mother’s care.
If you’ve ever met Imelda, and if you’re able to help, in any small way, it would mean a great deal. And if you’re able to share this with others, we’d be so grateful.
Thank you, truly, for reading.
