Dear Friends and Family,
On June 20th I received notice that I was selected as a delegate to participate in this year’s Democratic National Convention taking place in Philadelphia July 25-28.
I am very excited to be one of the 546 delegates participating from California. As an American citizen and a migrant I am conscious of the large responsibility I will have as a representative during such critical times. I will use my position to voice your concerns on urgent issues such as immigration, health care, education, and gender equality. I am confident that we can join together in respecting each other’s different ideologies, cultures, and beliefs in order to achieve a more peaceful country.
I have dedicated the last 22 years of my life to my community by working through various different organizations. Some of these include the East Los Angeles Lions Club, The Federation of Zacatecano Clubs in Southern California, Fraternidad Sinaloense, President of the United Club for La Trinidad Sinaloa, and a COFEM member. This new opportunity is a blessing however it came at a time where my economic situation is not the best.
To all of my friends, family, coworkers, and acquaintances that are reading this, I ask for your support. I accept this challenge and the responsibility that has been put upon me to represent my community.

El día de 20 de Junio se me notifico que fui seleccionada como Delegada para participar en la Convención Nacional Demócrata en Philadelphia del 25-28 de Julio.
Estoy muy emocionada, ya que son 546 los delegados del estado de California que participan, y seré una de las pocas migrantes que formaran parte de esta delegación; al igual estoy consciente de la gran responsabilidad que tengo ante todos ustedes especialmente durante estos tiempos tan críticos. Tendré voz y voto para exponer las necesidades urgentes de todos nosotros, como son: la migración, La Salud, La Educación, y la equidad de género. Estoy completamente segura que con RESPETO por ideologías, creencias y culturas lograríamos un país más lleno de PAZ y ARMONIA
Durante los últimos 22 años eh trabajado orgullosamente con líderes y como líder comunitaria en diferentes organizaciones, como son: East Los Ángeles Lions Club, La Federacion de Clubes Zacatecanos del Sur de California, Fraternidad Sinaloense, Presidenta del Club Unidos Por la Trinidad Sinaloa, miembro de COFEM. Esta nueva oportunidad es emocionante pero difícil ya que un evento de esta magnitud me llega en tiempos en donde mi situación económica no es la mejor.
A todos ustedes amigos, compañeros, lectores que reciban este solicitud, les pido su apoyo, conozco y acepto el reto, la responsabilidad que tengo con mi estado, con mi gente y mi comunidad.
