Hi, we are Engineers Without Borders - NL and we are raising funds to support the installation and expansion of a solar energy system at the Imbeke Development Training Centre in western Kenya.

The Centre empowers local communities by supporting small-scale, sustainable socio-economic initiatives that are inclusive of all families, regardless of gender or social status.

Previously, the Centre operated on a small solar power system, but due to battery failure, this system has stopped working. This has forced the Centre to rely on Kenya's national electricity grid, which is both unreliable and expensive, limiting their ability to run essential equipment and services.

The Centre has asked EWB-NL to help repair the existing solar setup and expand the system to provide clean, stable power to more buildings and equipment. This will enable them to carry out their programs more effectively and reduce dependence on the grid.

We are currently seeking funding to cover the procurement and construction costs of the new solar installation. Your contribution will help bring lasting energy resilience to a community hub that is making a real difference in people’s lives.
