# I’m Not Ready to Be a Dad. Baby Greg Deserves a Better Life.
I have some difficult news.
I became a father unexpectedly.
His name is Baby Greg.
He is small. He is vulnerable. He has a shell. He has no job. He does not understand money, roads, rent, nutrition, transportation, or the American healthcare system.
And I am not ready.
Earlier today, Baby Greg was seconds away from disaster. He was in the road, moving with the urgency of a retired DMV employee, completely unaware that modern traffic does not care about personal growth journeys.
I stepped in.
I saved him.
And then reality hit me.
Saving a life is beautiful. Raising one is expensive.
Baby Greg deserves more than a confused man with good intentions and no reptile infrastructure. He deserves safety, food, proper care, and a healthy place to grow, bask, eat, and disappoint me like any beloved son should.
Believe in Greg like someone believed in you.
We exist to make opportunities happen.\

$10,000 Total Raised — We will take Greg to Cabo for his birthday in which our bodies and minds will be pushed to the limit. Being a dad isn't easy, but I will make sure OUR Greg sees the world.
And don't worry...
The metaphor of Greg was written with Detroit youth and carries through to funds raised: Every dollar will support Detroit youth ready to take on the world in Southwest Detroit. We raise our children as a community.
