Aim: Get Connor the new appropriate wheelchair so he can get out of the house and live again.
Fundraising aim: £2,000.00

You should all know me but it says I should introduce myself.
Hi, I am Devika, the lady in the photo and proud wife to Connor and mother of the two munchkins/hell raisers in the photo =).

As you will have heard (and can see in the photo) Connor's wheelchair's front wheel sadly sheered off and he is back to being homebound. The photo shows his great resilience in somehow (painfully) three wheeling about the house and to the front of our block of flats.

This page is all about trying to get Connor a new self propelled wheelchair so he can have a bit more quality of life despite all the recent medical fun and the kids can get their father back (as much as his health conditions will allow). With a working and appropriate wheelchair Connor would be able to move properly and a lot less painfully around the house and get to go outside again, be it (once he has built himself back up to it) to school/nursery pickups, a family trip to the local park, or just for some exercise to help with his body strengthening rehabilitation.

He was recommended a particular self propelled wheelchair that would suit his medical needs so we know and Connor has been measured up for the chair we are fundraising for. We are very lucky my work charity has (touch wood) kindly said they will help cover the cost of the base wheelchair (which is around £4k! 0.0) but we have to cover the extra basic essentials (like a cushion and handles for me to push Connor when he has a spasm/tired etc) which will be around £1,500.00-£1,800.00. This is not counting any extra costs that we will find out about when it comes to collection/final payment day; which is why I have put £2,000.00 as the fundraising aim as I know the bad luck we have had is likely to continue >.<.

I have set up this page at the request of friends who very kindly would like to contribute towards Connor's new wheelchair (thank you again!). If you are shared this page there is no pressure to contribute. Any and every contribution is very much appreciated <3 . If we somehow end up getting close to or meeting/beating our goal, any money not spent on the wheelchair from this pot will go to treating the kids so no penny will go to waste.

If you have any questions or concerns please do let me know =) (with the warning that I am even worse at being virtually social/messaging than before and apologies in advance for any late replies).

Thank you for your time and I hope you have a lovely rest of day post reading this message (and hopefully contributing ;P)!

All the best,

Devika
