Hi,
I'm fundraising for a meaningful opportunity that's incredibly close to my heart, travelling to Bali to volunteer with Swimdo, a non profit charity dedicated to teaching swimming and water safety skills to children in communities where access to swim education is limited or non-existent. Read more about the Swimdo mission here: https://swimdo.org/about/mission-vision/
Why Bali?
Indonesia is an island nation, surrounded by water - yet it has one of the highest drowning rates in the world especially among children. In many regions swimming is a luxury skill, not a necessity. But for kids growing up near rivers, beaches and flood prone areas, swimming can mean the difference between life and death.
That's where Swimdo comes in - and where I hope to contribute.
Why this matters to me
Swimming has always been more than just a sport or pastime for me. It's an important life skill - one that builds confidence, promotes safety, and opens up new opportunities. I've seen first hand how transfomative it can be.
Volunteering with Swimdo is my way of giving back. I will be helping teach children how to swim, how to stay safe in the water, and how to respect it - skills that one day could save their lives.
Why I need your help
While I'm volunteering my time and energy, getting to Bali and covering the basic travel and accommodation costs isn't free. Thats why I'm fundraising - not to pay for a holiday but to make this mission possible.
Every donation, no matter how small, goes directly toward enabling me to do this work: helping teach kids how to swim and equipping them with water safety education that could protect them for a lifetime.
Be part of the ripple effect
By supporting this trip, you're not just helping me get to Bali - you're helping build a safer, more empowered future for children who need it most.
Thank you for believing in the mission and being part of something bigger.
