My name is Jason Verlinghieri. Along with my brother Jimmy and sister JoEllen, we would like to ask for your help.

As some of you may know, my father is beginning a battle with a very dangerous form of cancer. Throughout my parents' lives, they have always gone out of their way to help people: babysitting, helping someone move, shuttling people to the airport, being there for family when they were going through a rough stretch or needed a shoulder to lean on, etc. They have also spent their retirement making sure that their children and grandchildren get a fair shake at a quality life by sacrificing their plans to do so. It is who they are, and everyone they come in contact with is a better person for knowing them.

Well, right now they need our love and support. The road ahead is going to be a rough one, and not one second will be easy. But all of us that know Jim, know that he won't quit and will give everything he has to fight through this. That is why we are asking that you stand and say, "I'm Fighting With Jim". Any help you can offer will go a long way to making sure that we have a chance to go fishing with Jim, watch a Birds game with Jim, eat a burger with Jim, or just be with Jim. Please pass this along to anyone and everyone. Let's help Jim and Jan get through this, the way they have helped all of us in one way or another.
