Hi my name is Lily and I am aged 14 from Plympton and I have been given the chance to go on an expedition to Kenya with Camps international for a month in 2027 to help work on a range of projects.

This journey is not just about travel—it’s about making a real difference. During my time there, I’ll be involved in meaningful projects like improving education facilities, supporting health and hygiene initiatives, and working with children to help provide a brighter future. I’ll also be learning from the local people, gaining insight into their lives, culture, and resilien.

To make this trip possible i will have to raise around £6,000 and will be reaching out to local businesses for sponsorship. I will be fundraising by running the Plymouth 10k, and holding events in my local community to help raise the funds needed for this worthwhile trip.

This will be an amazing opportunity for me to give back to communities who need the help that I can offer.
