Hello everyone,
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
I’m currently pregnant and preparing to bring our baby into the world—something that should be filled with excitement and joy. I waited and imagined sharing this news in a completely different way, full of happiness and celebration. Unfortunately, life has taken an unexpected turn, and I’m now sharing it under very difficult circumstances.
My husband was recently ordered to leave the United States after his immigration court hearing on May 4th. We were given less than a month to respond.
He has no criminal history. He came here in December 2023 and has done everything he can to build a life with me. He has been my support system through this pregnancy. He has the order of deportation for June, and I am due in July.
The thought of going through labor, recovery, and raising our baby without him here is something I can’t even begin to process.
As a U.S. citizen, I am trying to sponsor him so we can stay together as a family. But the process is complicated and extremely expensive. We have to file an appeal immediately, begin our marriage petition, and prepare for additional legal steps that could determine whether he is allowed to come back to us.
I work in a school surrounded by incredibly kind and supportive people, and it’s not easy for me to ask for help like this. But right now, I’m doing everything I can to protect my family and give my baby a chance to have both parents present.
We are trying to raise money to cover:
• Immigration attorney fees for his appeal
• Filing fees for our marriage-based case
• Legal preparation for waivers and next steps
• Support during this uncertain and overwhelming time
Every donation—no matter how small—helps us keep fighting. If you’re not able to give, sharing this means just as much.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story and for standing with us during this time.
