Fundraiser for Zawadi Yetu School

Background:

I have received the Mark Metherell Grant to travel to a boarding school in rural Kenya this summer! This grant awards students who create a project that emphasizes sustainable service. The school I am working with has requested that we bring additional books and solar lights, so I am trying to fundraise money to maximize the impact.

My Project:

My project is in partnership with a boarding school in Mogotio called Zawadi Yetu that loses electricity each night. I am bringing 200 solar-powered lights, building a light library, and painting a mural in the school with the students.
