Iftaar at an orphanage in Indonesia

We will be organising an iftaar for 56 orphans in a very deprived area in Jakarta on the 22nd of March. The children are in a very small building and most of them do not even have a single relative. The building is very tight, dark, with no AC and low on donations. They solely rely on donations and there are only 3 adults to the 56 children.
Many of the children wear stained, ripped or discoloured clothing. The hygiene is also poor at the orphanage (they may not have a toothbrush, wear their day clothes to sleep etc).
The children have daily Islamic studies for free.
The children all partake in fasting for Ramadan. They are so excited to be remembered and for people to join them for iftaar. Please donate generously.
The donation will be used for:
- Iftaar meal (£3 x 59) =£180 (inc 3 staff members and delivery cost of food)
- Water bottles = £5
- Takjil (snack box to break the fast) = £90
- Goodie bag (snacks, colouring book, pencils, water bottle) = £320 (£5 a bag)
- Eidi (pocket money for each child - depending on the target, the maximum will be £5 a child) = £280
- x1 set of clean clothing to wear on Eid:
- Baju Koko (Islamic clothing for boys) £5-£10 per child
- Gamis (Islamic dress for girls) £5-£10 per child = £600
- Any remaining money will be donated to the orphanage (Zakaah eligible).
If giving Zakaah the donation will not be used for the goodie bag and will be noted when giving the remaining money to the orphanage. Please note on your donation.
