Ideal Space Community Outreach Plan
Friends, neighbors, and other compassionate souls:
Ideal Space Builders is seeking assistance in repairing a Longmont resident’s home. Let me tell you a story.
A few years ago, Becky’s husband passed away unexpectedly, leaving her with a house that is not up to code, has numerous unfinished projects, and without any means to fix it. After some legal hassles, she was able to put the house in her name and pay off some arrears to ward off foreclosure, but now she needs to get an appraisal which will not go well unless she is able to do quite a bit of work to the home. Many of the issues are safety hazards and all of the items greatly affect her quality of living. To give you an idea, Becky has been living without heat for quite a while now, using her stove and her oven as her only heat source.
Becky contacted Ideal Space Builders at the end of last year to find out what it would cost to make the necessary updates and bring the home up to code. Because of the extent of the necessary projects, the estimate would have been beyond what she was able to spend. Her situation stayed on our minds and in our hearts. My husband, Jason, and I had already discussed ways to give back to our community through our business and realized that this was a synchronous opportunity. We offered to volunteer our time, skills, tools, and equipment to help Becky, but we still don’t have all of the funding and manpower needed to help our neighbor who’s in a tough situation.
It's very difficult to accept unsolicited help, especially from strangers, so we want to show Becky that her choice to accept our offer will be worth it. Please join us!
If we help one person in our community live a better life, we create a better community for us all. Please consider making a financial donation to our GoFundMe account to purchase necessary materials for Becky’s house. Ideal Space Builders will not be keeping any of this money for profit. This money would only go toward supplies and any amount will help. Nails and screws are cheap! Lumber, not so much.
If you can offer any money toward supplies, please click on the link to donate.
We have set aside Friday, January 27th and Saturday, January 28th to knock out as much as we possibly can. I truly hope to see some donations as soon as possible, so we can make sure we have what we need to give Becky a better quality of life! Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts!
If any local Longmont residents or anyone in the surrounding area would like to pitch in and lend a hand physically, we will gladly accept ANY help we can get! Whether you have building and remodeling skills or none at all, we invite you to chip in and show up. Even if you’ve never picked up a hammer, we can use you! You can contact us on our website:
