ICS Food Fundraiser
On behalf of the community of International Community School (ICS), we are asking for donations to support our families who are experiencing food insecurity during this pandemic crisis.
ICS is in the heart of the Fruitvale district of Oakland, California. This beautiful community is historically a haven for immigrants from Mexico, Central America, and beyond, who comprise 98% of our school population.
We are incredibly grateful to OUSD and the Alameda County Food Bank for the meals that families can pick up for their students twice a week. However, since many of our ICS families live in multi-generational and multi-family homes, other family members are going hungry while they shelter in place.
We know these are tough times for many, but your $5, $10, or $20 donations will mean so much to our children and their families. If you can donate a small amount, our school staff will deliver grocery gift cards weekly to the families who have expressed food needs.
