Ian's Eagle Scout Service Project

Hi, my name is Ian Meldrum. I am a Life Scout in Boy Scout Troop 424 in Durham, North Carolina and a rising 12th grader. I am fundraising to build a Gaga pit and four benches at my old elementary school, Forest View. A Gaga pit would be excellent for elementary school-aged kids; my elementary school has yet to install one. In addition, I plan to build four benches so kids and teachers can sit down and rest during recess. The Gaga pit will be on the left side of the playground, in a shaded area next to the sidewalk from the parking lot. There will be a bench next to the blacktop, one next to the soccer field, one next to the upper playground, and one next to the lower playground. All donations exceeding my ask will go to Forest View.
