Ian Fay's Beat Cancer Fund

Many may know Dennis Fay, a staple in the trail running community for years and longtime Athletic Equation kitchen master at many of the multi-hour endurance events.    He and his wife Sandy, just learned a bit over a month ago that their oldest son Ian has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as rhabdomyosarcoma.  This news has been very hard on the Fays especially since up until recently Ian has led a very healthy and active lifestyle.  As a high school senior Ian has excelled at track and field as a varsity hurdler, plays the trumpet in several school bands, and is an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Youth Group.

Often there are large medical expenses that are not covered under most health insurance in these types of situations.  We are encouraging folks to donate whatever they can afford.  Time is of the essence to obtain the proper care and attention that Ian will need in order to stand the best possible chance for defeating this illness.   Your generosity and willingness to contribute may be the difference that Ian needs.
