Ian Richardson's Legacy: Care for His Sons

Ian Thomas Keogh Richardson, of Beverly, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2025. Ian was born on July 16, 1987 in Salem, Massachusetts to Susan and Thomas Richardson. Growing up, Ian loved playing sports with Beverly Little League, Pop Warner, and Beverly Youth Lacrosse.

Ian was a joy to all who knew him. He lit up the room with his smile and captivating laugh. Ian was a beautiful soul who touched everyone around him. Ian was a dedicated father to his two beautiful boys, Gregory and Connor. There was never a day where you wouldn’t see him playing quarterback with his boys and any kid in the neighborhood, young or old, who wanted to join in. He was a champion at emptying the backyard pool with his cannonballs, which made all the kids scream and laugh with delight. He especially loved coaching his boys in baseball and would often help out wherever he was needed on the little league field. If he wasn’t playing sports, you’d see him and the boys riding their bikes to Gordon College to hunt for snakes and turtles. Everyone that knew Ian describes him as the kindest person on the planet. If there was ever an award for the best hugger, Ian would have won it, hands down.

Ian is survived by his adoring sons, Gregory and Connor; dear brother, Andrew (Roo); loving parents, Sue and Tom; many close-knit aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his wife Elizabeth (Ribeiro). He was predeceased by his grandparents, Donald and Jean Richardson and George and Elizabeth Canney; along with his beautiful cousin Alyssa Richardson. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 22, at Campbell’s Funeral Home, Cabot St. Beverly, MA from 11:00 until 2:00. Funeral services will begin at 2:00. A celebration of life will be announced after the funeral.
