Help Natalya & Ian after their house fire
Donation protected
Hi
I am hoping you can help me to help some good friends who have recently lost everything in a house fire.
Last Thursday Ian and Natalya found out, while at work, that their house in Biggin Hill was burning down. Apparently a glass reflected the sun's rays coming through a window onto a wooden desk which caught fire and basically destroyed the whole upstairs of their home and everything in it. Even though the fire did not spread fully to the downstairs the smoke and water damage has basically destroyed everything they owned. The fire brigade were thankfully able to put the fire out but you can imagine the damage from the flames, the smoke and of course the water damage. Everything they have built, purchased and cherished is now destroyed by smoke, water or fire and they face starting out all over again.
Luckily one of their neighbours had a key and was able to rescue their pet dog, however the fire started upstairs and they were unable to save their tortoises. Thankfully no one was in the house when the fire started so no one was hurt. As you can imagine they have lost everything except the clothes they had on their back.
I would really like to help them out by creating this campaign to raise some funds to help them through these difficult times, to help them buy some clothes to wear, to buy basic essentials while they figure out the next steps. They face weeks if not months of clear up work, shifting through the remnants of their family home to see what they might be able to salvage. They are currently homeless and may have to live in hotels or find rented accommodation while things get sorted. Any money raised will help them to buy these basics and worry less
Any donation you can spare, even just a few £'s, would be amazing. No one can imagine the difficult times that they have faced or will face in future unless they have gone through something similar and no one would wish this on anyone, especially not good, decent, honest and hard-working people.
Thank you.
