I’m Starving Too

Is an initiative started by barbers/hairstylists for the soul purpose of helping and aiding the humanitarian crisis that is happening in Yemen.⠀

In addition to the “Go fund Me” Donations, we will be hosting a fundraising event on the 12th of July at 12pm to 5pm. The event will be held at Tribes Barber studios: 8187B University Ave NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432.

All the proceeds will be donated to Savethechildren.org

WHAT IS GOING ON : ⠀
⠀
What is taken place and going on in Yemen certainly needs our attention. Issues such as the famine crisis, ongoing war, blockade by neighboring countries, lack of health supplies and schools to where “up to 75% of schools destroyed in some areas”. savethechildren.org And now the surging and the rabid growth of Covid19 cases. These events are some of the major contributors to the ongoing struggle in Yemen. ⠀

FATCS: ⠀
according to the UN, “Yemen is the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. 10.4 Yemenis are expected to starve to death by the end of the year”. You wonder why and how is that not being covered on media outlets? ⠀

In addition, “12.2 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance. 93% million children are in need of humanitarian assistance. 70% of children don't have access to clean water and sanitation. 10.3 million children don’t have enough food to eat”. SavetheChildren.org These are scary and heart breaking numbers.⠀

WHAT YOU CAN DO: ⠀
A one doesn’t need any affiliations or practice the same beliefs to act or to share their sufferings. These are your fellow human beings. Is it said that $0.50 cents is equivalent or close to feeding a child for a whole day. Just imagine how much difference a $10-$20 or $50 can make on the people of Yemen. YOU GET TO DECIDE HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE YOU WANNA MAKE!!!⠀
