Abby goes to Africa

Recently, I was invited to partake in a three-month internship program with an organization in Uganda, called Abide Family Center. Their desire is to empower families and provide them tools to stay together and to keep their children out of orphanages. Through this program, I strongly believe I will gain the skills and global vision that only an international experience can provide.

I believe the core of being a Jesus follower is someone who is centered on the care of others. I have set goals for myself to become more of an intricate part of sharing Christ and loving others the way Christ loves. I believe that this internship will provide me with endless opportunities to really challenge myself and grow, as well as make an impact.

I want to follow the calling God has placed on my heart.  Would you prayerfully consider becoming a financial and/or prayer partner for this dream? I need to raise $4,000 to cover airfare, room/board and internship fees. I will be honest, this scares me. But I know God can do far more than I can think or imagine. I am blessed by many of you who have supported and prayed for me in the past. What a joy it would be to continue having you pray for me.
