Help Sen Stay with his Family

This is my dear friend Sen and his son Langston.  My wife and I have been friends with Sen and his wife Sara  for 10 years.  They need help. Please read Sen's story below.  Your contribution could help keep them together!

Sen and his family fled war-torn Laos as refugees when Sen was a teenager.  He did not speak any English, and his father died shortly after they arrived.  Sen experienced much trauma in both Laos and Seattle. He and his family were very poor, as well.

While still a teenager, Sen started hanging out with the wrong crowd.    Along with some other kids, he made a decision he will regret for the rest of his life. He committed a crime, lost his Green Card, and was given a Deportable status. From the time he was arrested, Sen took full responsibility for what he did. He served his full sentence and has maintained a perfect record since.

Despite all the barriers his Deportable status creates,  he has made a wonderful life with his loving family and has committed himself to continued improvement.
He now understands he was looking for love and belonging when he got involved with the wrong crowd. He is now committed to creating and building  real love and belonging within his own family.  He is 9 years sober, works with therapists to improve himself,  and is a devoted father and husband. He watches his son Langston during the weekdays while Sara works full-time. He works full-time during the weekend and is looking for a second job. He has volunteered at a community center, the food bank at Food Lifeline,  and Relay for Life.  He is extremely helpful to his extended family,  helping his grandma and cousin get to the doctor and managing their care.

Last year Sen was unanimously approved for a Govenors' Pardon signed by Govenor Jay Inslee.

Sen is so grateful for this pardon.  There were many tears of joy in that courtroom! The next step for Sen is to have his Deportable status reversed so he can stay with his family permanently and without the constant fear of deportation. In order to do this, Sen's attorney has graciously agreed to take the case for just $3,000.00. This is the monetary help for which we are asking.  All money donated will go to pay the attorney's fees.

Although it is hard for Sen and Sara to ask for help , they agreed to let me open this campaign for them.  Please give what you can.  Believe me when I say that Sen is a great father, husband, and over-all member of society.  I wouldn't ask for just anyone.
