Ukuleles for Ukraine

UPDATE:

We're happy to report our first mission to Ukraine was a success! We were able to supply four children's homes with a wide variety of school supplies, medicine, physio equipment, clothing and 115 ukuleles which we used to give music lessons on.

Our work is not over - we have a mini documentary based on our first mission to Ukraine which we will use to promote further support. We aim to encourage adoption, get more people volunteering, and raise money for to improve the education and quality of life for these children.

Funds raised throughout Q1 2016 will be used to create 'computer labs' with internet access at two of the children's homes we visited. It is important for these kids to become computer literate and gain access to the outside world for both their general education and to hone skills for an increasingly digital 21st century!

Most people reading this were probably lucky enough to be born into a wealthy country, with access to an education and parents who supported them and helped to create opportunities.

This is why Quinn Boylan and Mark Griffiths are planning to visit an orphanage in Ukraine this April to make a small difference for children there who are parentless and lack the opportunities that we are used to. We are funding the entire trip ourselves and are using this platform to raise money to purchase items solely for the short term and (ideally) long term benefit of the kids!

All donations will go directly to supplies such as:

-Ukuleles for Ukraine: Aiming to bring over 30 ukuleles, kazoos, melodicas, etc. to encourage their creativity and musicality.

-Basic toys: footballs, board games, jenga, lego, etc.

-Clothing: winter clothing, shoes, socks, blankets, pillows, etc.

-Basic toiletries and medicines as requested by the orphanage

-Books and electronics: Billingual bibles, dictionaries, children's books, etc. to help to children speak English better and increase employability in the future.

To confirm: 100% of ALL FUNDS raised will go directly towards purchasing the above mentioned supplies for the kids. Thank you in advance!
